What This Bill Does

Requires school districts to promptly notify parents when significant changes occur regarding their child's teacher, including name changes, job reassignments, or employment termination. Parents will receive these notifications as soon as practicable for any teacher or long-term substitute teacher to whom their student is assigned. The law will go into effect for the 2025-2026 school year, aiming to increase parental transparency and communication about classroom staffing.
