What This Bill Does
Modifies Texas tax code to exclude certain securities transaction rebate payments from the total revenue calculation for exchanges and their members. Specifically, it allows exchanges and exchange members to subtract transaction rebate payments related to securities transactions from their total taxable revenue. The changes aim to provide tax relief for financial exchanges by reducing the revenue base used to calculate franchise taxes, with the new rules taking effect on January 1, 2026.
