What This Bill Does

Prohibits school districts and open-enrollment charter schools from selling drinks containing high fructose corn syrup during regular school operations, starting in the 2025-2026 school year. The restriction does not apply to drinks sold at sporting events or other special events sponsored by the school. The goal appears to be promoting healthier beverage options for students by limiting access to drinks with high fructose corn syrup.
