BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 2303.156, Occupations Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c)  An insurance company that pays a claim of total loss on
personal property stored at a vehicle storage facility is liable to
the operator of the facility for any money owed to the operator in
relation to delivery of the property to the facility, storage of the
property in the facility, and disposal of the property, regardless
of whether an amount accrued before the insurance company paid the
SECTION 2.  Section 2303.156(c), Occupations Code, as added
by this Act, applies only to personal property accepted for storage
by a vehicle storage facility on or after the effective date of this
SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
