relating to the duty of a public water supply system to provide certain information to consumers regarding fluoride in drinking BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 341, Health and Safety Code, is amended by adding Section 341.0335 to read as follows: Sec. 341.0335. FLUORIDATED WATER; DISCLOSURE OF CERTAIN INFORMATION. (a) A public water supply system that furnishes to the public for a charge drinking water to which fluoride has been added shall disclose in a conspicuous place on each customer's (1) the amount of fluoride that occurs naturally in the drinking water furnished by the system to the customer; (2) the amount of fluoride added to the drinking water before distribution to the customer; and (3) the combined amount of fluoride present in the drinking water from the sources described by Subdivisions (1) and (b) Information disclosed under Subsection (a) must be accurate for drinking water distributed to a customer not more than one week before the bill is provided to the customer. SECTION 2. Section 341.0335, Health and Safety Code, as added by this Act, applies only to a public water supply system bill issued for a billing period that begins on or after the effective SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
