Addresses how vacancies are filled on the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District's board of directors. When a board position becomes vacant, the new director will be appointed using the same method as the original appointment process and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term. relating to vacancies on the board of directors of the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 8849.053, Special District Local Laws Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 8849.053. BOARD VACANCY. (a) If a vacancy occurs on the board, the vacancy shall be filled in the manner provided by Section 8849.052 for making the original appointment.
