What This Bill Does
Expands the definition of "professional sports team" to include additional sports organizations like rodeo associations, motorsports racing teams, and professional golf events. It specifically allows professional sports team charitable foundations from these expanded categories to conduct charitable raffles, potentially increasing fundraising opportunities for sports-related charitable organizations in Texas. The amendment broadens the existing legal framework for charitable raffles, enabling more sports organizations to raise money for charitable causes.
