What This Bill Does

Allows the commissioners court of a specific county where the Llano River and James River meet to impose a hotel tax. The tax would not apply to hotels within municipalities that already have their own hotel tax under Chapter 351. The act takes effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in the legislature, or on September 1, 2025, if it does not receive the required votes.
