What This Bill Does

Requires health benefit plans in Texas to provide coverage for medically necessary hearing aids and cochlear implants for individuals 25 years of age and older, along with related services and supplies. The coverage mandate will apply to health plans delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026, potentially improving access to hearing healthcare for adult Texans by reducing out-of-pocket costs for hearing assistance devices and services.
