What This Bill Does

Requires landlords to acknowledge receipt of a tenant's repair notice within two business days in writing, sent to the tenant's mailing address. The acknowledgment must include a statement of the tenant's rights and remedies, and if the repair involves a common area used by multiple tenants, the landlord must notify all affected tenants. If a landlord fails to comply, tenants can seek judicial remedies, providing additional protection and transparency in the landlord-tenant relationship.
