What This Bill Does

Modifies the definition of a "project financing zone" for municipalities using tax revenue to fund convention centers, arenas, and venues. It allows municipalities to designate a project financing zone within a three-mile radius of a qualified project's center, or for certain municipalities, a contiguous geographic area of equivalent size. The zone designation must specify precise geographic boundaries and expires 30 years after initial designation, providing municipalities more flexibility in creating tax-funded development areas.
