What This Bill Does

Modifies the renewal process for engineering licenses and registrations in Texas, extending the validity period from one to at least two years. The Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors will need to adopt new rules to implement this change, which applies to both individual engineers and business entities seeking license or registration renewal. The new renewal process aims to provide longer-term licensing and reduce administrative burden for engineering professionals.
