What This Bill Does
This Texas bill prohibits e-cigarette advertising signs from being located within 1,000 feet of churches and schools, measuring the distance from the institution's property line to the nearest point of the advertisement sign. The legislation aims to reduce youth exposure to e-cigarette marketing by creating a buffer zone around educational and religious facilities. The law will go into effect on September 1, 2025, giving businesses time to adjust their current advertising placements.
