What This Bill Does

Updates eligibility criteria for school bus replacement grants, expanding the model year range from pre-2007 to pre-2011 buses. School districts can now apply for grants to replace older school buses with newer, more emission-efficient models, provided the current bus has been owned and operated by the district for at least two years and is in good operational condition. The changes aim to support cleaner transportation technologies and reduce vehicle emissions in school transportation systems.
