What This Bill Does
Establishes two new specialty military license plate options: one for veterans who served in Operation Freedom's Sentinel and another for recipients of the Texas Humanitarian Service Medal. The specialty plates will be issued by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and will include specific identifying words and design elements unique to each military service recognition. Recipients of these specialty plates will be eligible for certain fee waivers, making it easier for military service members to obtain commemorative license plates that honor their specific contributions and service.
