What This Bill Does

Amends sections of the Texas Insurance Code to specifically exclude the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association and the Texas FAIR Plan Association from certain premium and maintenance tax regulations. These organizations will now be exempt from tax requirements that apply to other insurance entities, which could potentially reduce their financial obligations. The changes will take effect on September 1, 2025, and do not impact tax liabilities before the 2023 calendar year.
