What This Bill Does

Prohibits insurance companies from requiring consumers to bundle personal automobile or residential property insurance policies from the same insurer or its affiliate. It makes it an unfair practice for insurers to mandate that a customer purchase multiple types of insurance policies together as a condition for obtaining coverage. The law aims to give consumers more flexibility in choosing insurance policies from different providers and prevent insurers from forcing bundled insurance purchases.
