What This Bill Does

Requires all electronic voting equipment in Texas to have software that tracks and records all input and activity during elections. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 122, Election Code, is
amended by adding Section 122.0332 to read as follows:
Sec. 122.0332.  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPROVAL OF
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.  In addition to other requirements for
approval, each unit of electronic equipment in a voting system must
be equipped with software that:
(1)  tracks all input and activity on the electronic
(2)  is capable of creating a record of the information
tracked under Subdivision (1); and
SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies only
to an election ordered on or after the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
