What This Bill Does

Modifies employment restrictions for school district trustees, preventing them from being hired by their own school district until at least one year after leaving the board. The restriction does not apply to trustees from certain smaller school districts that receive specific state funding allotments. The law aims to reduce potential conflicts of interest and maintain professional boundaries between school board service and district employment.
