What This Bill Does
Establishes a statewide dangerous dog registry for municipalities with populations over 100,000, requiring animal control authorities to maintain a public online database with detailed information about dangerous dogs. The registry will include specific details such as rabies vaccination, secure enclosure proof, owner liability insurance, identification markers, dog photographs, owner name, and location. Municipalities can choose to omit some registry information with written approval, and the registry aims to provide transparency and public safety regarding dogs deemed dangerous by local authorities.
