What This Bill Does
Expands the permitted timeframes for fireworks sales in Texas, allowing retail fireworks permit holders to sell to the public during specific holiday and cultural periods, including traditional dates like June 24-July 4 and December 20-January 1, as well as adding new dates like February 25, April 16, the Memorial Day weekend, and days surrounding Diwali. The changes provide more flexibility for fireworks retailers by increasing the number of days they can legally sell fireworks, with the new regulations taking effect on September 1, 2025.
