BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.  Section 39.167(a), Utilities Code, as added by
Chapter 892 (H.B. 5066), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular
Session, 2023, is amended to read as follows:
(a)  The [Not later than January 30, 2024, the] commission
shall direct the independent organization certified under Section
39.151 for the ERCOT power region to develop a reliability plan
under Section 39.166 for the Permian Basin region and update the
SECTION 2.  Section 39.167(c), Utilities Code, as added by
Chapter 892 (H.B. 5066), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular
SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
