What This Bill Does
Allows school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to modify certain educator training requirements by permitting mandatory annual training to be completed every other year instead. The change provides flexibility for school districts in managing professional development schedules while maintaining overall training standards. Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, educators may complete specific statutorily-required trainings biennially rather than annually, potentially reducing administrative burden and training time for educators.
