relating to commercial signs along certain roads. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter I, Chapter 391, Transportation Code, is amended by adding Section 391.2521 to read as follows: Sec. 391.2521. COUNTY APPROVAL FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL SIGNS. (a) The commissioners court of a county by order may require a person to obtain county approval for the construction or reconstruction of a commercial sign located adjacent to and visible (3) Ranch-to-Market Road 967; or (4) Ranch-to-Market Road 1826. (b) The department may not issue a permit under this chapter to an applicant who is required to obtain county approval under this section unless the person has obtained the required county SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
