What This Bill Does

Expands the authorized scope of work for master electricians in Texas, specifically allowing them to perform all electrical work and electrical design work, including electrical sign work. Master electricians will now be able to verify on-the-job training requirements for various electrical licensing categories and serve as the master of record for electrical sign businesses. The changes will take effect on September 1, 2025, potentially providing more flexibility and opportunities for licensed master electricians in the state.
