What This Bill Does
Eliminates the requirement for appraisal districts to periodically verify that homeowners still qualify for residence homestead exemptions. Currently, homeowners must prove their continued eligibility for property tax exemptions; this bill removes that recurring confirmation process. The change reduces administrative burden for both appraisal districts and homeowners, streamlining the property tax exemption process.
