What This Bill Does
Modifies how public junior colleges receive performance-based funding by adjusting the metrics used to evaluate their effectiveness. Specifically, it changes the credit hour requirements for measuring student achievement in transfer programs, dual enrollment, and credential attainment, with a focus on rewarding colleges that help students earn valuable credentials and progress in high-demand occupations. The changes aim to incentivize junior colleges to better support student success and align educational outcomes with workforce needs, taking effect on September 1, 2025.
