relating to the privacy of certain protected health information. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 181.004, Health and Safety Code, is amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: (c) A covered entity described by Subsection (a) or (b) shall comply with this chapter and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and Privacy Standards in any requested disclosure of an individual's protected health information relating to all reproductive healthcare, including miscarriage and SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
