What This Bill Does
Limits Port Freeport commissioners to serving no more than two full terms. A person who has previously served two or more full terms will be ineligible to be elected as a commissioner, though completing the remainder of an unexpired term does not count toward the term limit. The new term limit rule will not apply to commissioners already serving when the bill takes effect on September 1, 2025.
