What This Bill Does

Prevents the Texas Public Utility Commission from granting certificates for power facilities that would cause the ERCOT power grid to come under federal regulation. Specifically, the bill blocks certificates for any facilities that would trigger federal jurisdiction over Texas's independent power grid. The legislation aims to maintain Texas's independent electrical grid structure and prevent federal oversight of its power infrastructure.
