What This Bill Does

Requires groundwater conservation districts to establish rules for notifying adjacent districts, county commissioners, and local newspapers when an application is filed to transfer groundwater out of the district. The notice must be paid for by the applicant and sent via certified mail to specified parties, ensuring transparency and awareness of potential groundwater transfers. The new requirements aim to improve communication and provide local stakeholders with information about proposed groundwater movement across district boundaries.
