What This Bill Does
Modifies the timeframes for legal fireworks sales in Texas. Retail fireworks permit holders can now sell fireworks to the public during three specific periods: June 24-July 4, December 20-January 1, and May 1-May 5 (for locations within 150 miles of the Texas-Mexico border in counties that approve such sales). The bill expands previous sales windows and slightly increases the geographic range for May fireworks sales, potentially benefiting fireworks retailers and consumers in border counties.
