What This Bill Does

Requires voter approval before a toll project can be constructed in Texas. Any toll project entity must now hold an election in each county where the project will be located, and receive majority voter support before proceeding with construction. The election will be ordered by county commissioners and include specific details like polling place locations and project details, with voters directly voting to approve or reject the toll project.
