What This Bill Does

Requires the state board to fully reimburse teachers for all fees related to obtaining a special education teaching certification, including examination costs, if they complete their certification within two years of entering an educator preparation program. The reimbursement aims to encourage more teachers to specialize in special education by reducing the financial barriers to obtaining the necessary certification. This could help address teacher shortages in special education and make the certification process more accessible for educators.
