What This Bill Does
Establishes a grant program through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to help ready-mixed concrete manufacturers obtain environmental product declarations (EPDs), which are labels that verify a product's environmental impact. Manufacturers can receive reimbursement for accessing EPD databases or software, but must agree to use these declarations for their concrete products. The program aims to support transparency in the environmental performance of concrete manufacturing by providing financial assistance to companies documenting their products' lifecycle environmental characteristics.
