What This Bill Does

Allows parents to transfer their child to another public or private school if they believe the child is being exposed to "sexual grooming" at their current school. The bill defines sexual grooming broadly as efforts to desensitize children to sexual experiences or normalize sexual relationships with adults or children. If parents choose to transfer their child, the school funding will follow the student to the new school, with the state commissioner establishing rules to prevent fraud and maintain program integrity.
