What This Bill Does
Clarifies regulations around transportation protection agreements for funeral services in Texas. Specifically, it defines a transportation protection agreement as a service to pay for transporting a body more than 75 miles from the place of death to a licensed funeral facility or crematory. The bill separates these transportation agreements from prepaid funeral benefits, ensuring they are treated as a distinct service under Texas finance law.
