What This Bill Does
Allows judges, peace officers, prosecuting attorneys, and active servicemembers to request a student transfer to another school district campus if they are the parent or guardian. The school district board must approve the transfer to the location chosen by the parent, though the district is not required to provide transportation for the transferred student. The bill aims to support families in these professions by giving them more flexibility in selecting their children's educational environment.
