What This Bill Does
Streamlines the renewal process for volunteer deputy registrars in Texas counties. It requires county registrars to send renewal notices by November 30 of even-numbered years, including a renewal application and information about recent election law changes. Volunteer deputy registrars can be automatically reappointed for another term if they sign the renewal application, confirm they've read any legal updates, and remain eligible for the role, without needing to retake training.
