What This Bill Does

Modifies the process for dissolving municipal management districts by lowering the threshold of property owners required to petition for district dissolution from two-thirds to a simple majority. The change allows property owners in a district to more easily terminate the district by filing a written petition with the board if they own more than 50% of the assessed property value. The bill applies to new petitions filed after September 1, 2025, making it easier for property owners to end a municipal management district they no longer want.
