BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 2306.2585(a), Government Code, is (a) The department may administer a homeless housing and services program in each municipality in this state with a population of 250,000 [285,500] or more to: (1) provide for the construction, development, or procurement of housing for homeless persons; and (2) provide local programs to prevent and eliminate SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
