What This Bill Does

Requires the Texas governor to submit a detailed report to the legislature within 30 days of declaring or renewing a state of disaster, outlining all no-bid contract expenditures and federal funding received during the emergency. The report must include specifics on federal money, which agencies or programs received those funds, and any required state matching funds. This legislation increases transparency and legislative oversight of emergency spending during declared disasters.
