What This Bill Does
Prohibits the Texas Film Commission from awarding grants to production companies that have previously created visual content involving minors in sexual conduct or sexual performances. The legislation effectively bars such companies from receiving state film incentive funding, aiming to protect children from potential exploitation in the entertainment industry. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2025, giving production companies clear guidelines about eligibility for state film grants.
