What This Bill Does

Establishes a housing voucher program specifically for emergency medical services personnel in counties with populations between 1-1.5 million (likely targeting a specific county like Bexar County). The Texas housing corporation will create a program that provides housing assistance to qualifying emergency medical services workers, with the board of directors responsible for setting eligibility criteria, voucher amounts, and administrative rules. The program can be funded through gifts, grants, and donations, and is set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
