What This Bill Does
Modifies the eligibility criteria for a grant program targeting public improvement projects in unincorporated communities near international borders. The changes narrow the qualifying conditions: communities must now have a population under 7,000 (previously less than an unspecified number), be adjacent to no more than two counties with populations under 10,000, and be located on an international border. The bill aims to refine and potentially limit the scope of grant recipients for rural border communities.
